How to protect PDF with password?
If you use Adobe, it has a pad tool that can secure your PDF with a password. This tool is called Adobe Acrobat. Apart from this, you can also secure your PDF with a password for free, but for this you must first convert your PDF file into Word Document. For this you can use online OCR tool.
Follow these steps to protect PDF with password
- You have to click on the File option on the left side of the Word document.
- After this you have to click on the option of Save As.
- Now you have to choose the folder where you want to save your password protected PDF.
- Then click on the drop down option in front of Save as type
- You have to select PDF from the drop down list
- After selecting the PDF, you have to click on the box of “Option”.
- After this, click on “Encrypt the document with a password” below.
- Now here you have to enter your password which should be 6 to 32 characters in length.
- By doing this, your file will be saved in PDF, to open which you will have to enter the password.
